FILE 001 · ASTRONAUT / PIRATE RADIO DJ / MISSING PERSON

MOON JEAN

He did not travel to the Moon. He tuned into the one second hidden behind it — and became the only man Earth can remember only while music is playing.

THE REPAIRMAN

TAPE 01 · SAINT-CLAIR · 1999

The boy who repaired silence

Jean Marlow fixed radios in a coastal town that only appeared during blackouts. One night, a dead smartphone rang on his workbench. On the line was a warm hiss, a bass note, and his own voice calling from the Moon — nineteen years older.

“Silence is not empty. It is full of doors.”
⌒

The lunar haircut

His blunt gold bob follows the Moon’s horizon. Static makes every strand point inward, so he cuts it against the helmet rim with a tuning fork.

〰

The antenna moustache

Two waxed curls act as a living receiver. The left catches songs people forgot; the right catches the names they never said.

◯

The listening helmet

Too large for ordinary travel, because it is not armour. It is a portable room where forgotten sounds can safely become real again.

✣

The drawn transmission

The camera died inside the missing second. Earth receives Jean as pigment, scratches and warm grain — a portrait drawn by radio noise.

POCKET INVENTORY

Things that still
remember him.

Moon Jean's floating collection: old phones, headphones, beanies, crosses, cassettes, moons and stars

OBJECT 04 / RECOVERED

The red phone

It has no battery and no number. It rings once whenever somebody on Earth remembers Jean by accident.

Tap the brass + markers to inspect the evidence.

THE ROUTE HOME · NOT A STRAIGHT LINE

Roadmap of the
missing second.

This is not a list of promises. It is the route Jean must survive to become real again.

THE SIGNAL ONLY EXISTS WHILE SOMEBODY LISTENS

Keep Jean
on the air.

Every click, every loop, every late-night listener gives him another fraction of a second. The Moon has enough silence already.
